Join us for a communal dinner plus a workshop on art, place, and drawing. This hands-on workshop will bring us together by sharing and creating maps of our communities to show where we live and how our neighborhoods shape us.
Throughout the night we will showcase a video made especially for us by local artist Lily Xie. She is a Chinese-American artist and educator whose socially-engaged work explores desire, memory, and self-actualization for communities of color.
Together, we will do creative mapmaking exercises created by Lily that will help us reflect on how we live and invite us to share our experiences.
The workshop will run from 5:30-7:30 pm. Dinner will be available starting at 5 pm.
